Proud to be  joined by Burnet County Sheriff Calvin Boyd as he shares "How Citizens Can Support the Sheriff's Office." Sheriff Boyd began his career as a Texas Highway Patrol Officer, on the State Swat Team and on the Area Riot Team. Boyd was deployed on many occasions to the Texas border to participate in border security. Sheriff Boyd was elected Burnet County Sheriff in 2016. He has been proudly serving the citizens of Burnet County since 1989 and plans to do so for many more years. 

Basic Wilderness Survival Skills   Bert has always had a deep interest in the outdoors, including hunting,  fishing, and camping, from a young age. This passion eventually led to a  career in the Army, where he served for over 20 years on active duty,  retiring after a distinguished career that included assignments in  various countries around the world.  Bert founded Texas Wilderness Survival Training  to provide families with immersive, hands-on wilderness survival training skills.

Be Prepared for Disasters! Proud to be  joined by Robyn Richter  a trainer for the Burnet County Office of Emergency Management's free training program   Community Emergency Response  Team (CERT)  for citizens of Burnet County.   Robyn is getting the word out about the free CERT training sessions,  which teach emergency preparedness.
