A 4th-degree black belt (Okinawan Shori-Ryu), Jill has trained extensively in traditional martial arts and is currently deepening her skills in Tae Kwon Do. This will be an interactive session. Wear clothing appropriate to move in as we learn together self-defense moves for everyday life.

Emergency Preparedness is very important to her, she will review the phases of a disaster or emergency and will provide valuable information to create and have a plan, build a (bug-in/out) kit and be prepared!
"SHFT Communications Planning" Charlie is a HAM radio operator - Call Sign KE5COG, NRA Certified Pistol, Rifle, Shotgun Instructor and Range Safety Officer. He will share a variety of communications methods with our group as well as help program your GMRS radio. He'll discuss necessary gear for SHFT communications including 3-3-3 radio, NOAA weather radio, CB radio, FRS/GMRS, HAM radio, US VHF radio, cell phone, satellite phone, and walkie-talkies.

Sheriff Boyd began his career as a Texas Highway Patrol Officer, on the State Swat Team and on the Area Riot Team. Boyd was deployed on many occasions to the Texas border to participate in border security. Sheriff Boyd was elected Burnet County Sheriff in 2016. He has been proudly serving the citizens of Burnet County since 1989 and plans to do so for many more years.
